Administration & Staff

Dr. David Bailey, Superintendent
Dr. Bailey has been the Senior Pastor of Cottondale Baptist Church since 2013. His prior ministry service includes pastorates in Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi; adjunct faculty and director responsibilities at the Orlando Center of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary; and chaplaincy at Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, Georgia. He is the author of several published articles and book reviews, as well as the authorized biography of Swiss Baptist theologian Roger Nicole (Speaking the Truth in Love: The Life and Legacy of Roger Nicole). Dr. Bailey earned a B.A. in English from the University of Central Florida and M.Div. and Ph.D. degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. “One of the great privileges and joys of my ministry has been my affiliation with Tuscaloosa Christian School. When the total package is considered—facilities, administration, faculty, staff, students, and families—there simply is no finer place to receive a distinctively Christian education. I invite you to explore TCS via our website, a regularly scheduled Open House, or perhaps through a personal onsite tour. You will be glad you did!”

Dan Lancaster, Headmaster
This is Mr. Lancaster’s 40th year in Christian education, his 28th year to serve as Administrator of TCS.  He is a 1978 graduate of Tennessee Temple University and has a Masters from Bethany Divinity Seminary. Mr. Lancaster serves on the board of Alabama Christian Education Association.  “It has been my privilege to serve as TCS Administrator since the 1990-91 school year. After serving 12 years at Lowell Baptist School in Lowell, Indiana, we moved to Tuscaloosa to once again minister alongside Dan Arsenault, then pastor of Cottondale Baptist Church. I am thankful that my three children had the opportunity to attend and graduate from TCS. It has been exciting to see the growth of TCS in enrollment, staff, buildings, and academic excellence over the years. It has been a joy to work with such a dedicated staff and supportive parents at this school. I pray that God will continue to protect and bless TCS in the years to come.”

Danny Lancaster, Assistant Administrator & Athletic Director
Coach Danny graduated from TCS in 2002. He went on to attend Tennessee Temple University where he lettered in basketball and received a B.S. in history and political science. He continued his education and graduated with honors from the United States Sports Academy in 2012 where he earned a Masters of Sports Science in Sport Management.“This is my twelfth year at TCS where I teach history in the high school and coach the boys varsity basketball teams. I became a teacher because I believe there is a great need for godly training in the lives of young people, and the Lord has given me a passion for witnessing His hand at work as He stirs students’ hearts and lives through academics, athletics, and activities. I chose TCS because it is a unique school where students have a tremendous opportunity to become involved in various programs that will challenge them to grow spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and socially in a Christ-centered environment.”
